The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making began as a book-within-a-book in Catherynne M. Valente's adult novel, Palimpsest, a part of the protagonist’s childhood, a strange novel for children written in the 1920s, about a young girl spirited away to Fairyland by the Green Wind, and her adventures there, battling the wicked Marquess, befriending outlandish creatures, and growing up. Women & the Fairy Tale

Hi
I found your fabulous site through a link with New Fairy Tales. My name is Mary Griffin and I am an artist/illustrator living in Cornwall, UK.
I have just launched my own tarot deck The Hezicos Tarot which I have illustrated and self published and as it has a fey theme and many fey folk running through the cards thought maybe you would be kind enough to have a look, any feedback would be great. My art work and deck can be viewed on my website http://www.hezicostarot.com.
My next project is a fairy tale book, the stories I have already written and it will be illustrated in the same style as my deck. An old fashioned style book but hopefully a much loved book!
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Kind regards
Mary Griffin
It’s a lovely deck, thank you for sharing it with us!
We ask that you use “web formatting”: single-spaced lines with paragraph or other breaks indicated by double-spacing, with italics and bold text included where required. See an example of what we are talking about here.
The link in the above doesn’t work (although it’s fairly obvious what you mean)
Sorry about that! It probably got lost in the big wordpress extravaganza of early 2010. I will either fix or delete asap.
