Riding Hood

by Cassandra Phillips-Sears

Wolves can’t give safety,
which I chose. Of their options,
though one’s quick, none bore.

Cassandra Phillips-Sears lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts; she has a plum pudding mold and knows how to use it. Her fiction will appear in a future issue of the magazine Jabberwocky.

Jennifer Behymer has been a mural painter for six years, and has dabbled in theatre prop design, recently completing two 17′ x 40′ backdrops for a production of the Nutcracker. She has been fascinated by fairy tales since childhood and after six years of painting only commissioned work, she needed an outlet for her own artistic vision. She is interested in children’s book illustration and decided to begin building a portfolio while also indulging in painting something she loves.
